LASA at UW

LASA at UW Welcome to the Latin-American Students Association at the University of Waterloo!

The purpose of the Latin American Student Association (L.A.S.A) is to share and promote the rich Latin American culture and history to all interested no matter of cultural background. The L.A.S.A will also be involved in raising awareness of issues affecting the Latin American region and peoples by creating a forum for discussion. L.A.S.A will network with other Latin American Associations in Ontario universities to further promote and build a visible and positive Latin American presence in the community. Participation in and hosting international and multi-cultural events will also be on the forefront of the L.A.S.A agenda. We are not an agent or representative of the Federation of Students, and that is views and actions in no way represents the Federation of Students.

LASA's sexy performance at the winter 2013 Cultural Caravan. Don't mind my colour commentary. I got a little bit too excited.

Amazing work by Football for the World Foundation!!

If you did not get a chance to see Part 1 of the Mexico drive here is a quick clip of the boys’ team from Mano Amiga School in Valle de Chalco Mexico practicing in their new FFTW branded gear bought with the help of your generous donations. They wore these jerseys to represent their school and FFTW at the national tournament in Mexico this past November. An additional video capturing part 2 of the Mexico drive is in progress and will be posted in a few weeks!

For more information on their past and current projects check out www.footballfortheworld.org
