Alhamdulilah, another successful and beautiful year at Tayba Elementary School. Four years strong and solid, looking forward to our fifth year next year isA. Thank you to our lovely students and parents for your trust and commitment. Thank you and endless appreciation to our hardworking and dedicated staff and volunteers, we cannot have our school without each and every one of you! Have a safe and happy summer!

Congratulations to Tayba Elementary School students for participating and placing in Tayba's Arabic Spelling Bee. The goal of the spelling bee is to encourage students to know how to spell, pronounce, read, and write Arabic words. We are so proud of them all!

Congratulations to our 2023 Hufaath, may Allah SWT bless you, protect you and make you beacons of light where ever you go! Ameen.

Yesterday was Tayba's second participation in SAM's Annual Soccer Tournament. Tayba assembled 1 junior team, and 2 senior teams to represent us at the tournament. MaShaAllah they did amazing!

Students from Tayba's grade 5, 6, 7, and 8 classes have been preparing for this tournament for the past couple of months. We have seen the work and efforts of our students pay off as they achieved so much greatness at yesterday's tournament. All three teams gave it their all, and MashAllah,

Team 1 from our seniors brought home a 2nd Place Trophy. Takbeer!!!

We also want to take a moment to congratulate and thank our amazing coaches - Sheikh Abdollah, Coach Ahmad AS, and Coach Abdurahman AS. Without their time, energy and commitment, yesterday's success would not have been possible. On behalf of all of us, thank you, coaches.

2nd TES All-Star Summer Camp 2023: July 3rd- August 4th: OPEN NOW!

Dear Community Members,

Tayba Elementary School is hosting its 2nd TES' All-Star Summer Camp.

The All-Star Summer Camp is a unity of two Camp Programs we created: All-Star Junior Camp (Ages 4-11) and All-Star Senior Camp (Ages 12-14). TES is the first to create a specialized program for young teens and we are extremely excited to share it with you.

The Camp is a 5-week day camp for ages 4-14 and it is located at Tayba Elementary School in Waterloo. This Camp will run from Monday, July 3rd to Friday, August 4th, 2023 inshAllah. This camp is filled with activities, games, challenges, Daily Quran, Islamic studies and field trips. Each week is a different theme.

Our focus is to create an environment that fosters the love for Islam and Allah (SWT) while enriching our young minds with interactive activities, hands-on projects, fun quests, and athletic challenges. Please see the flyer below for more information:

Happy Eid Mubarak from Tayba Elementary School to our community! We celebrated Eid ul Fitr today at school. It was a beautiful day filled with laughter and fun! Many more blessed years to come inshaAllah, while all our Students and staff are in the best of health, wealth and Iman!

Our second annual Ramadan Trivia happened today. Our teachers, may Allah swt bless them and elevate their ranks, hold an annual Ramadan trivia between our students in Grades 5 to 8. It is a fun method of testing all the learning that happened in our classes to prepare our students for the Holy month. Our first place went to Grade 6, followed by the second place to Grade 7 and the third was a tie between Grades 5 and 8. Congratulations to all our winners!!

Our grade 6 class engaged in a summative project to wrap up their geometry and spatial sense unit. This project asked that they create a building and include a minimum of 5 rooms in their building. They were also asked to submit a measurement sheet that included the area, perimeter and angle measures for their building. What they came up with was absolutely phenomenal! The detail included in all these projects is absolutely amazing MaShaAllah. These students never fail to amaze us! So many strengths can be seen in all the students when they engage in hands on projects.

UPDATE: TES FUNDRAISER- April 1st

We would like to thank our volunteers, parents, and community partners for making our FIRST Fundraising Iftar a great success. We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to everyone who helped plan and execute the fundraising event. Masha'Allah, our event was SOLD OUT before it started!

Together, by the blessings of Allah SWT, we collected $110K. These funds will go towards renovating our gym, buying new classroom furniture and equipment, paying our construction costs, community loans, and making way for future TES projects.

Our goal is $150K. If you made a pledge, we remind you to please work with us to fulfill it. On the other hand, if you have not donated or want to donate more, you can easily donate by choosing one of the following ways:

Ramadan workshop for kids was an amazing fun, hands on and engaging learning experience! We started with a puppet show about Ramadan and the students designed their own fasting trackers and learned about the phases of the moon and doaa al iftaar and much more!

We had our Win it Awards Ceremony #1 today. Congratulations to all our middle school students for winning the different awards.
The Win it system encourages students to participate in clubs, maintain self regulation, exhibit excellent Akhlaq and leadership in order to get the award. The purpose of this system is to promote student involvement and citizenship, while inspiring our students to be the leaders they can be.

Our Grade 8 Scientists created a working model of a Hydraulic. Hydraulics is a technology that uses engineering, chemistry and other sciences involving the mechanical properties and use of liquids. It is used to power many machines!
