Meet Jenna 👋, a fourth-year Bachelor of Business Administration student from the Waterloo campus, and a Digital Communications Specialist co-op student with Student Affairs Advancement and Alumni Relations this term. 💡Advice for students: “Get involved as much as possible. Clubs and organizations on campus are a great way to find your passions and interests while also being able to meet so many people you would not have otherwise. This is the time!”

8 a.m. - I started off my day by walking to campus. Here’s my fit check in my purple and gold for the big day! 💜💛

9 a.m. - My first stop was the Pancake Breakfast. Here, I had the opportunity to meet Canada’s Olympic Track Cycling athletes, NICK WAMMES | OLY and Sarah Orban! Nick and Sarah were on campus for the Homecoming Bike Ride in support of student mental health. I loved hearing all about their upcoming World Track Championships in Shanghai, China! 🚲

10 a.m. - I, of course, also had to enjoy some pancakes while I was at the event. 🥞🍴

10:30 a.m. - Then, I got to hang with the Laurier Hawkline ! Not only did I get to learn a Laurier song, but I also got to perform with the best drumline out there! 🥁🤩

11 a.m. - After the Pancake Breakfast, I went over to the screening of the 2016 Yates Cup Documentary. 🎥

Noon - Then, it was time to head over to University Stadium for the football game! The weather could not have been more perfect. ☀️

12:30 p.m. - Before the game, I hungout with Midas and got the crowd’s energy up as they entered the stadium. 🤩👋

2 p.m. - One of my favourite parts of the day was getting to cheer on Laurier Football from the Alumni Endzone. I had the BEST view for some unreal

Laurier Homecoming 2026 gave us all the feels! 💜💛

Campus came alive this weekend with Purple & Gold pride that stretches back generations and reminded us all how great it is to be a Laurier Golden Hawk.

After more than 260 blood donations to Canadian Blood Services, Wilfrid Laurier University alumni Milne Oakes (BA ’73) and Mary Lou Oakes (BA ’70) are still giving back!

Mary Lou has been able to make 107 life-saving donations and Milne made his 161st donation on Aug. 3.

The Oakes’ passion for giving back and helping others was evident during Laurier’s Waterloo campus blood drive in January. The couple eagerly connected with student donors, thanking them for attending the clinic and sharing information about how to join Canada’s stem cell registry.

Thank you to our alumni and students who attended last night's annual Laurier Law Reception.
