It was our great pleasure to chat with senior high school students from Waterloo Region and University of Waterloo students as part of the Sankofa Pathways Initiative.

We shared from and discussed issues that are important to them as they get ready to either attend university or enter professional work spaces.

Every February, we pause to reflect on and celebration the incredible contributions of Black people in Canada and beyond. We appreciate all the exceptional examples that have paved the way for us and strive to do the same!

Look for and participate in BHM celebrations where ever you are.

Community Academic Reciprocal Engagement (CARE) is looking to connect with Black youth 11-19 yrs in Kitchener-Waterloo area.

CARE plans to hold virtual events in February and March 2021 in celebration of the Black History month and World day of Elimination of Racism!

The long term goal is to provide mentorship on leadership and racial identity for the youth! RPSV UW Alumni Dr Elizabeth Opiyo at lizopiyo@gmailcom for a spot!
