After 3 years of commitment to our students and community, we are sad to announce that Evesco Edu will be permanently shutting down on May 1st. This decision was not made lightly, but as our team of university students near the end of their degrees we’ve decided this was an appropriate time to pursue other opportunities.

Despite the difficulty of this decision, we couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve accomplished. This company reached heights no one thought possible. It started as just an idea to help students during the pandemic, and ended up reaching more than 400 students. In the process we raised thousands of dollars for charities like , , , and many more.

A profound thank you to all the staff who’ve contributed to this company’s success over the years, and to everyone who has supported us along this journey. We hope our story will inspire others to pursue those ideas they’ve always had, or to take action to solve the problems they see exist.

Best of luck to you all in your future endeavours, but we have a feeling luck won’t be needed! 😌

Calling all premeds!

One of the most daunting parts of the medical school admissions process is the MCAT. Most schools require applicants to take this comprehensive exam, and many students don’t know where to even start.

- Course-based tutors for all subjects K-12, as well as university-level subjects

- MCAT tutors (section specific)

- Administrative assistant (helping with emails, payroll, social media, etc.)

Prior experience in these roles is an asset but not a requirement.

You probably know that Thanksgiving is celebrated earlier in Canada than the US (early October vs. late November), but do you know why?

It has to do with the harvest seasons in each country. Canada's harvest season ends earlier due to the colder climate, and as such the early Thanksgiving traditions began earlier in the calendar year.

Bonus fact: Thanksgiving traditions began in what became Canada several years before the US, tying all the way back to 1578 🤯.

Speaking of Labour Day, did you know that labour related marches in Canada date all the way back to the 1870's, and the 1880's in the US (slackers 😔)?

Labour Day was formally recognized as a national holiday in 1894, at which point the work day became 8 hours instead of 12. The more you know! 🤓
