May your heart be warm, your tummy full, and your arms filled with family.

Our little birdies took home two favourite crafts you can easily replicate whether your heart loves process or parent pleasing art (we love both!)

Footprint turkey with collected leaf tail feather

Acorn and Concker rolled paint art, run through the printer with a favourite quote

From our Nest to yours, happy Thanksgiving. We are incredibly thankful for the earth we play on every day, and all of you for following us on our journey.

Love,
Miss Robyn xoxo

With Autumn here and the Harvest Moon above us, let's follow the flow of nature and slow down. Let's do what we need to for the upcoming winter slumber- be it taking naps, making warm cozy snacks, or slowing our bodies.

What will you do to shed some leaves?

Miss Robyn: "If you can carry it, you can keep it."

Never - ever - underestimate the determination a child has breaking a treasure home.

It's conker time!!

These (almost) autumn chestnuts can be enjoyed utilizing all your senses:

See: observe the leaves of the tree through the seasons. Generally starting green, the leaves will dontinue to turn quickly from yellow to brown before falling.

Smell: did you know that this small treasure can make soap- it's true! Horse chestnuts are hight in saponins, making it a great soap alternative. Take in the faint woodland smell the soap leaves behind.

Hear: can you hear when a chestnut is ready to fall? Squirrels love horse chestnuts and will chew branches to bring the nuts to the ground. On the way down, you can listen to the nuts hitting leaves as it slowly ping pongs to the ground.

Taste: while horse chestnuts are not safe for human consumption, they certainly are for squirells! The animals might store these for later, or they might get a taste by removing the outer shells and having a quick snack.

Touch: beware before picking up! These guys sure have a prickly outer shell! Once you find the way to hold them gently, they should be safe in many hands. Or, place one nut on the ground and gently place one foot on top and gentle roll back k and forth under your shoe. This will flatten those spikes in no time!

How will you use your conckers?
