Since 1982, Sonia’s School of Ukrainian Dance (SSUD) has been sharing the joy, energy and rich cultural traditions of Ukrainian dance with dancers and audiences of all ages.

Led by instructors Sonya Horner, Christina Hnatiuk and Maria Boyko, SSUD dancers are proud to perform at festivals, community events and celebrations throughout the province. Our dancers are encouraged to develop strong technique, performance skills and a deep appreciation for Ukrainian culture, while building confidence, friendships and a lifelong love of dance.

SSUD strives to showcase the beauty and diversity of traditional Ukrainian dance, featuring dances from various regions of Ukraine. Our goal is to create a fun, welcoming and educational environment where dancers can grow, challenge themselves and experience the vibrant spirit of Ukrainian dance.

Youth & Adult Ukrainian Dance: High energy, vibrant rhythm, and incredible culture. Ideal for kids who love fast-paced teamwork—or adults looking for an amazing workout, great community, and a fun way to celebrate tradition.

Grown-Up & Child: Perfect for toddlers building confidence with their favorite person right beside them. High fun, zero pressure, and a great way to connect with other parents.

Ballet Technique: The classic foundation for poise, focus, and grace. Great for young dancers who love storytelling through movement and structured technique. You don't have to be a Ukrainian dancer - this class is for all dance types.

Whether you want to bond alongside your toddler, master the basics of dance, or hit the studio floor yourself, there’s a space ready for your family this season.

Introducing our brand-new Grown-Up & Child Ukrainian Dance class (Ages 2–5)! This is the perfect, low-pressure way to dance, play, and make unforgettable memories together while introducing your little one to music, movement, and culture.

Bring your favorite adult—whether that’s Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, an aunt, uncle, or guardian—and let's get moving!

No Class Prerequisites: You do not need to be registered in our other Ukrainian dance programs to join.
