We would like to extend a BIG WARRIOR WELCOME to Ms. Schwartz.

Ms. Schwartz will be joining us in our Grade 4/5 Classroom in the Fall.

My name is Nikki Schwartz and I am incredibly excited to be teaching in Waldeck this upcoming school year! I was born and raised in Swift Current, and I am very excited to be moving back to the area. I have spent the last three years teaching grade 5 in Grimshaw, AB. It is located in northern Alberta, about 5 and a half hours north of Edmonton. I have one dog at home named Porky. He was a rescue dog from Arkansas and has a neurological disorder that resulted in him being blind. I am also an iced coffee lover! I can't wait to meet everyone in the fall, and I know it is going to be a fantastic year!

Welcome Ms. Schwartz, we look forward to seeing you in the fall!

Come and join us for the SCC Year End Family BBQ!

Friday, June 26th @ 11:45 a.m. following the Elementary Awards Ceremony.

KalTire will be providing burgers and hot dogs.

So come on out, bring your lawn chair or picnic blanket and enjoy the SCC BBQ as a way to kick off your summer.

Here are some tips to help our kiddos stay more comfortable in this heat.

Hydration is important. Please send your child to school with a waterbottle so that they can refill it throughout the day, and have water at their desk where they will see it and think about it before they feel thirsty.

Dress appropriately - Wear loose-fitting, light colored clothing made of breathable fabric. If it is cool or windy when your are getting ready to send your kiddo our for the day, dress in layers, or send an extra set of clothes so that they can change if needed.

Stay cool everyone.

Tomorrow is our Elementary Track Meet and it is going to be a warm one! Don't forget to bring a full water bottle, and wear your sunscreen!

Mrs. Wilms will be at the office as our Kindergartens and Grade 6/7 students will be attending regularily scheduled classes while our Grades 1-5 compete and our Grade 8 students run events. Please call 306-778-9292 to report attendance or communicate any changes as she will be communicating with our staff at the track meet.

The canteen will be open throughout the day so you can pick up extra drinks, snacks and lunch as needed for the day.

We are happy to provide a school lunch on Thursday, May 7th catered by Country Hills Catering. Each meal will come with a wrap, a bag of chips, and a cookie. This meal will be provided free of charge to all of our students who choose to order.

Come and join us on Wednesday, April 29th at 12:30 p.m. in the Waldeck School Gym for an afternoon of puppet theatre. The Grade 8 class will be presenting fun and imaginative retellings of some of our favorite Disney classics!

CONGRATULATIONS to our Warrior Spring Raffle Winners Rachelle Parkinson and Kacie Sherger!

Our top selling family received a $100 Sputtergotch gift card, our second top seller received a Movie Night Mystery Box, and the winner of our wild card draw won a Retro Candy Mystery Box.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to our Warrior families for all of your hard work, and to all of the ticket purchasers for your support of our school. Fundraisers help us with guest speakers, field trips, extra curriculars and so much more!
