Young Cedars Waldorf Inspired Early Childhood Program

A Waldorf Kindi offers Children a safe space to inhabit their Bodies through imaginative Play 🌻🍂🌟 Before Waldorf, she was a Maria Montessori Teacher.

Young Cedars is run by Certified Trained Waldorf Teacher Monica Flamenco who has over 25 years experience working with Children and Families. Monica worked at The Vancouver Waldorf School in B.C. for 11 years. PLAY is at the Heart of Monica's Program because it is here that Children are encouraged to move their Bodies and engage their Imaginations. "If we can support young Children in having embodied experiences through Rhythm & Play, not only can they experience Joy through movement but they can develop calmer Nervous Systems and better Health". The carefully chosen Stories are nothing less than "Food for the Soul". The Puppet Shows are created with gentle imagery & hand made puppets to meet their tender Senses. The Artistic such as Water Color Painting, Drawing and Baking Bread offer more embodied experiences (including Wood working and Modelling with Bee's Wax). Spending time in Nature is vital for a healthy Head, Heart & Hand I invite you to view our Website~

A Waldorf Teacher & her Children all play a role in hand crafting the toys using Natural materials in the environment to create Beauty! From here Children are inspired to play imaginatively! This creates New neuron pathways in brain development and so much JOY! 🍂🦋🌄
