Merci à Laura et Steven, de Landscape La Pêche Paysage pour l'installation et l'entretien des bacs à fleurs. Il nous a fallu un peu de temps pour lancer ce projet, mais ils ont fait un travail formidable !

Sentiers Wakefield Trails launches new trail activity cards for families

Get ready to level up your next hike! We are thrilled to launch our brand-new Trail Activity Cards designed to add a splash of adventure, discovery, and fun to your time out in nature.
Whether you are hitting the trails with kids, hanging out with friends, or just looking to see the forest through a fresh set of eyes, we have got you covered.
Here is what you need to know:
 3 Unique Cards: Choose from three different activity themes.
 Mix & Match: Grab just one for your walk, or take all three to challenge yourself!
 100% Free: Just pick them up and head out.

Where to Find Them
You can grab your cards directly at the trailheads before you start your hike. Look for them at these three
locations:
 Mill Road trailhead
 Centre Wakefield La Pêche trailhead
 Fairbairn House trail map

You’re warmly invited to join the Wakefield Golden Age Club as we celebrate the 15 wonderful seniors who took part in the C’est Mon Histoire / It’s My Story project.

Together, these participants created Souvenirs Dorés / Golden Memories — a heartfelt collection of stories that preserve some of the memories, history, and heritage of the Wakefield–Outaouais region, while also capturing meaningful moments from their own lives.

We would be delighted to have you with us as we honour their work and the spirit of our community.

Wakefield is a special place, and this summer, we want to make it even more beautiful. 🌸

Sentiers Wakefield Trails has partnered with a local landscaping company to install hanging flower baskets throughout our village. This project will add color, life, and charm to our streets for everyone to enjoy — residents, visitors, and local businesses.

We need to raise $8,000–$9,000 to cover the full cost of the baskets, plants, installation, and seasonal care. Every dollar stays local and helps make Wakefield a more vibrant community.

This fundraiser is just getting started, and sharing helps so much in the early days. Even if you can't donate, a quick share can help it reach people who may be able to support.

Stories from the Gatineau Valley series
Série « Histoires de la vallée de la Gatineau »
« Une vie sur les sentiers », un film consacré à Ken Bouchard, réalisé par Elizabeth Logue et Brian Bell en collaboration avec le documentariste primé Conor Devries.
Le film sera diffusé en boucle au Centre du patrimoine de la Maison Fairbairn et sur son site web du 20 juin jusqu’à la fermeture en octobre !

A Life on the Trails, a film about Ken Bouchard made by Elizabeth Logue & Brian Bell in collaboration with award-winning documentary filmmaker Conor Devries.

Our fantastic staff at the Wakefield Public Library have arranged for the TD Storywalk again this summer and the posters have been installed on the trail at Fairbairn. The book that has been selected this year is Colette: The Solitary Bee by Jean-François Sénéchal, illustrated by Pascale Bonenfant. Enjoy!

Notre formidable équipe de la bibliothèque publique de Wakefield a de nouveau organisé le « TD Storywalk » cet été, et les affiches ont été installées le long du sentier de Fairbairn.
