Our Thanksgiving Dinner was a huge success! Thank you to all our families who joined us tonight. It was truly heartwarming to see everyone come together to share such a special occasion filled with love, laughter, and togetherness.

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who brought treats, desserts, appetizers, and drinks to share. Your generosity and thoughtfulness made our gathering even more special. Indeed, we have so much to be thankful for!

To all our YBELCC staff, thank you for your amazing teamwork and dedication, from preparing for the event and setting up our rooms as a dining area to cleaning up afterward and putting everything back in place. Your hard work, cooperation, and willingness to help made our Thanksgiving Dinner a success. We truly appreciate each and every one of you!

A special thank-you to Ms. Imelda for preparing such a sumptuous meal. You certainly made sure everyone left with a full tummy and a happy heart! 🥰

To all our families who were unable to join us this year, you were missed! ❤️ We hope you can join us next time so we can share more wonderful moments, laughter, and memories together.

Gatherings like these remind us how blessed we are to be part of such a caring, supportive, and loving community. We are thankful for our families, our dedicated staff, and the special bonds we continue to build together.

Our Persisting Friends room just added an old computer set with a keyboard, mouse, and headset—and even though they don’t actually work, our little learners have no trouble making them come alive! 😄

From pretending to type important emails, to answering calls and becoming the “boss” of the office, their imagination is doing all the work!

The best toys are the ones that leave room for imagination. Thank you Ms. Niña for setting this up.

September 29, 2026 - As part of our observance to National Truth and Reconciliation Day, we all wore orange shirts as a symbol of remembrance. 🧡 From our educators to our little learners, we came together to honour the children who never had the chance to grow up surrounded by their families, culture, and communities.

We began with a Land Acknowledgment, recognizing the history, contributions, and enduring presence of Indigenous peoples.

We also created a gallery walk, displaying historical photographs of residential schools and images depicting the history and lives of Indigenous peoples in Canada. It was a space for us to pause, look, reflect, and remember.

And our arts and crafts were made with deep meaning and intention.

Every little handprint represented a child—an innocent child who deserved to be safe, loved, protected, and free to simply be a child.

Every orange shirt our children coloured carried a message of remembrance.

The children may not understand the full meaning of this day yet. They are still little, and some of these truths are difficult even for grown-ups to understand.
We hope that as our children grow, they will come to understand why we wore orange, why we remembered, why we listened, and why reconciliation matters. Above all, every child matters.

All those potty-training efforts finally paid off. 💩
One successful p**p and suddenly the educators we’re acting like they just won the Super Bowl. 🤣🤝👏👏👏
