It is with great joy that we share some wonderful news with our school community. Today, we are excited to announce that Tara McMillan is the recipient of the 2025–2026 Excellence in Catholic Education Award.

This award recognizes educators who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to Catholic education and who live out the mission of forming students in faith, knowledge, and service. Tara exemplifies these qualities each day through her dedication to our students, her witness to the Catholic faith, and her commitment to nurturing the minds, hearts, and spirits of those entrusted to her care.

We are incredibly blessed to have Principal Tara McMillan as part of our ECCS family and are proud to celebrate this well-deserved recognition.

Welcome, Archbishop-Designate Stephen A. Hero!

The East Central Catholic community joyfully welcomes Archbishop-Designate Stephen A. Hero, newly appointed by the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, to serve as the next Archbishop of Edmonton. We offer our heartfelt congratulations and assure him of our prayers as he prepares to assume this sacred responsibility. May God grant him wisdom, strength, and a spirit of humble service as he shepherds the people of the Archdiocese. We look forward with hope and gratitude to his installation on January 23, 2026.

Looking for a fantastic summer faith opportunity for students currently in Grades 6 to 8!

Face-to-Face Ministries is hosting a 3-day Ignite Junior camp in Sherwood Park from July 22 to July 24, 2025. This faith-filled retreat is designed to help young people grow in their relationship with Christ through engaging talks, fun activities, music, prayer, and community.
