Her inviting and encouraging energy created such a wonderful space for them to learn, grow and have fun! We’re so thankful for all she shared with us and can’t wait to have her back again! 💜

Kelsey Isaman - Acro Instructor

Kelsey has been immersed in the dance industry for over 30 years. Her journey began in her hometown of Wainwright, Alberta, where she took her very first ballet class at the age of five. What started as a childhood passion has grown into a rewarding career. Her focus remains dedicated to educating, inspiring, and mentoring the next generation of dancers. Kelsey is thrilled to be returning to teach in Wainwright for the first time in over a decade, as she enters her 20th year as a dance educator. Kelsey looks forward to sharing her passion for dance with the community where it all began.

As an advocate for lifelong learning, Kelsey believes the best teachers never stop being students. She has pursued extensive professional development with a strong focus on acrobatic dance education, completing Acrobatic Arts Module One and Module Two certifications. She also completed Alixa Flexibility Modules One and Two, providing her the expertise to teach safe, progressive acro technique while developing strength, flexibility, body awareness, and confidence in every dancer. She is also a Stage Licentiate in Jazz through the Canadian Dance Teachers Association and has a diploma in Fitness & Nutrition, allowing her to approach training with both artistry and an understanding of healthy movement.

Throughout her career, Kelsey has travelled across North America to continue her education, training at renowned institutions including Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York City, and Harbour Dance Centre in Vancouver.

Known for her energetic, encouraging, and positive teaching style, Kelsey is passionate about helping every student reach their full potential. She strives to create classes where dancers feel challenged, supported, and celebrated as they build strong technical foundations and confidence. Her choreography has earned numerous overall awards, special judges’ awards, and Choreography Awards both at regional and national competitions, but her greatest reward continues to be watching her students grow both as dancers and people.

Coming to Wainwright Sept. 12-13! It will be an awesome workshop! Register before Sept. 4th. Open to all studios.

COMING: ACRO WORKSHOP!

Acro is a fusion of dance and acrobatics! Class will focus on strength, flexibility, balancing, limbering and tumbling skills 🤸

We are so excited to have a guest instructor, Kelsey Isaman, coming in to teach! Kelsey brings extensive knowledge and expertise in the dance and acro field. Check out her bio in the second picture. Miss Jyleesa and Miss Jayme will also be there to assist the classes!

Open to everyone, not just JFD dancers. All levels welcome!
