Milo Community School

Milo School students spent the afternoon celebrating Indigenous People's Day and Blackfoot culture. Thanks to Alex Scalplock, Leighton Ayoungman & Christopher Chief Calf for teaching us drumming and singing. Sayder Duck Chief taught our students outdoor traditional games, Russell North Paigan and Tracey Calf Robe helped the students learn hand games. Rilee Many Bears and Jevon Holloway helped plan and organize the event. The students also tried Metis dot art and listened to Blackfoot stories. The Milo staff made fry bread tacos for everyone for lunch. Thank you to everyone for making the day a success!

Our 1/2/3 class visited the village public works building and fire hall today. They got an up close looks at the different equipment and what it is used for. Thanks to the village of Milo for giving our students this opportunity.

Thank you to Ginger, Nicole and Kansas at Milo ATB for a fun and educational tour. The students each exchanged a $5 bill for change and they received a wallet with candy to keep their money in.

The 4/5/6 students worked all year to earn Milo Bucks and after paying their bills they got to go on a shopping spree at the Milo Mustang Store.

The Elementary Track Meet Scheduled for tomorrow in Vulcan has been cancelled.
