Make Your Whole Day Matter: Move More, Sit Less, Sleep Well
Join us online or in-person!
Monday, August 24, 10 - 11:30 a.m.
Free
Your daily habits shape your long-term health far more than you might think. In this session, we’ll explore simple ways to add more movement into your routine, cut down on long periods of sitting, and build healthier sleep patterns.
We’ll look at “movement snacks,” like standing breaks or quick chair exercises, that interrupt sedentary time and support better health. You’ll leave with evidence informed strategies that are easy to apply and designed to fit real life.
The session is led by Dr. Kirstin Lane, Associate Professor (Teaching Stream) in the School of Exercise Science, Physical and Health Education at the University of Victoria and a CSEP-Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP). Her research focuses on how exercise can safely support people with diagnosed medical conditions, with a particular interest in cancer.
