🎃 Important Update Regarding Our Annual Halloween Dance 🎃

Unfortunately, due to the recently announced provincial snap election, school gym spaces across our district—including Stelly’s and Keating—are needed as polling locations.

Because we no longer have a suitable venue, the PAC Executive has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Halloween Dance.

We know how much everyone looks forward to this tradition, but fear not! 👻 We are already brainstorming some fantastic ideas for a replacement event this spring. Stay tuned for details on what is sure to be a super fun family event! 🌸✨

Thank you for your understanding and continued support!

With the first week of school under our belts, the Keating PAC is calling on our parent community to help us fill out our volunteer roster. The PAC runs off of the strength of our parent volunteers. Whether you have one hour or 100 hours, we have opportunities for every parent to take part and help us make our Keating school community a better place for our kids. Feel free to reach out to the PAC if you have any questions at [email protected].

And don’t forget to join us for our first meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 15. Meet and greet runs from 6-6:30 and the meeting will run from 6:30 to 8:00. See you all there!

Whether your family is returning to familiar hallways or joining our school community for the very first time, the Keating Parents’ Advisory Council (PAC) is so excited to welcome you all back.

✏️What We Do & How to Get Involved
The PAC works closely with teachers and administrators to support our students, organize fun community events, and help fund classroom enrichment projects. Every parent and guardian in our school is automatically a member of the PAC, and your voice matters!

📚Join our first meeting: join us on Sept 15 at 6:00 pm in the Keating Multi-Purpose Room or online via Teams. It’s a great way to meet other parents and hear about our plans for the year. Meeting dates, times and links can be found on our website or through the link in our bio.

🙂Meet your school community: join us at the Keating welcome event on the afternoon of September 23. See the school, meet staff and other parents, and enjoy some food and refreshments. Stay tuned for more details soon!

📖Stay in the loop: Keep an eye out for our updates on our Facebook or Instagram pages.

🤝Lend a hand: From helping out at hot lunch days to assisting with school events, every bit of volunteer time makes a huge difference for our kids. Check out the SignUpGenius page at the link in our bio to see all the options and sign up.

Here’s to a wonderful year ahead filled with learning, growth, and great new friendships. Let’s make it the best one yet!

Registration is still open for the Keating Walking School Bus. If you are interested, please fill out the application form which can be found at the link in our bio.

The Walking School Bus at Keating is set to start on September 8th only for the AM walk, and then the regular AM/PM walk schedule will start the following day September 9th!
