Looking for the perfect way to kick off the weekend? The Keating PAC has you covered this Friday, June 19th! As soon as the final bell rings, skip the rush home and stick around for some sweet summer vibes and awesome deals.

Here is what we’ve got lined up right after school:

📚 The Pop-Up Used Book Sale

•Where: The Under Cover Area
•The Deal:**All books are just $2 each!**
•Why you need it: Stock up on your summer reading list without breaking the bank. From page-turning chapter books to picture books, we’ve got something for every young reader.

🧊 The Ultimate Freezie Sale
•Where: Outside the school doors
•The Deal: **$2 per Freezie!**
•Why you need it: It’s June, it’s Friday, and you deserve a cool treat. Grab a Freezie (or two!) to celebrate making it through another great week.

💡 **Pro-Tip** Don’t forget to send your kiddos with some loonies and toonies on Friday morning, or swing by with some change at pickup! All proceeds go directly toward supporting amazing initiatives for our Keating students.

Calling all budding artists and authors: check out the writing & art contest from Central Saanich!

🎨✏️ Young residents—this is your chance to share what makes Central Saanich special!
As part of our 75th anniversary celebrations, the District is launching a youth art and writing contest. Whether it’s your favourite place, what makes your hometown unique, or even what animals in your neighbourhood might say about living here—get creative and tell your story.

🖼 Submit an original artwork or📝 Write a short essay (200–300 words)
🎁 Five winners will receive a 75th anniversary t-shirt and a behind-the-scenes tour of Central Saanich Police and Fire!
📅 Deadline: July 31, 2026
📧 Submit by email ([email protected]) or drop off at Municipal Hall at 1903 Mt Newton Cross Road or Fire Station 1 on Keating Cross Road

GET READY FOR FREEZIE FRIDAY!

This Friday after school, PAC volunteers will be outside the school selling these sweet icy treats! Freezies will be $2 each (or half for $1), so please send your child with a little change in their pocket.
