The only way to become a better public speaker is to speak more in public. That’s where Toastmasters comes in. Every week, Rise and Shine club members practice both impromptu speaking and prepared speeches. Each presentation – short or long - is evaluated by an assigned evaluator who points out what worked effectively, and offers specific, helpful tips to improve your skills. The weekly agenda fol

lows a schedule that’s proven to work, allowing smaller roles each week for new members, and then bigger roles as they gain more speaking experience. You may be a beginning speaker who needs to get those butterflies flying in formation through regular practice, or a seasoned professional looking to notch up your speaking, listening and thinking skills. Rise and shine provides a supportive yet professional and experienced platform to enhance your skills. A great way to start off your day. Please reach out to us if you wish to attend a meeting as a guest. We're currently meeting in a hybrid format -- we have some members online and other members who join us in-person. We meet every Thursday morning from 6:50am - 8:10am. All meetings are timed from start to finish to ensure everybody leaves on time.

When was the last time you won a ribbon?

Every week, we vote on who delivers the best Table Topics, the best evaluation, and who went above and beyond for the Chair award. We also give out an Icebreaker ribbon for a members inaugural prepared speech.
