Curious about learning a string instrument? We’re bringing our Strings Instrument Petting Zoo into the community this August and September!
Stop by and try a violin or cello with guidance from Victoria Conservatory of Music instructors. It’s a fun, hands-on way to explore music, ask questions, meet our faculty, and learn more about individual lessons and group classes at our Westhills, Langford campus.

🎶 A week of singing starts today!
Today, singers from across the region come together for the 2026 Choral Summer Intensive—a week of immersive rehearsal, learning and music-making led by Artistic Director Brian Wismath and pianist Wendy Stofer.
At the end of the week, they’ll take the stage for a vibrant celebration of Canadian choral music, featuring works by Harry Somers, Lydia Adams, Eleanor Daley, Sarah Quartel and more.

🎶 The voices of OperaFest 2026 take the stage August 15!
Over the past two weeks, OperaFest students have been singing, rehearsing, learning, and creating together as they prepare for Purcell’s Dido & Aeneas.
Now, after days of coaching and collaboration with Conservatory faculty, they’re getting ready to bring this beautiful Baroque masterpiece to the stage of Alix Goolden Performance Hall.
