Student work in progress from a private lesson today. I often encourage my students to draw and re-draw their subject matter before approaching a painting. It might seem like an extra or redundant step, but there is often such a notable benefit to the repetition, a chance to consider and reconsider proportions and to get to know your cat photos super well (always an important thing) 🐱💕

Today’s mixed media art workshop was full of good things and paper mâché!
A splendid afternoon that resulted in some lovely art.
