Vic High at 150! 🏗️🎓

This remarkable 1912 photo captures the construction of Victoria High School, with early automobiles and a truckload of building materials in front of the rising structure. Just two years later, the impressive new school would open its doors to students in 1914.

For generations, Vic High has stood as one of Victoria’s most recognizable educational landmarks — and this weekend, alumni return to celebrate 150 years of history, memories, and community.

Vic High at 150! 🎭🎓

This wonderful circa 1915 photo shows members of Victoria High School’s amateur theatricals dressed in costume on the school grounds. Student performances, plays, music, and arts have long been an important part of life at Vic High, helping generations of students build creativity, friendships, and school spirit.

The photo also includes future educator and broadcaster Ira Dilworth, standing on the far right of the back row.

As alumni gather this weekend for the 150th reunion, photos like this remind us of the many traditions and memories created at Vic High over the past century and a half.
