Financial barriers can make it even harder for survivors and victims of crime to access safety and stability. Everyone deserves access to support, regardless of their financial situation.

As we wrap up our Victims and Survivors of Crime Week resource series, we want to acknowledge that healing and support can look different for everyone.

Throughout the week, we’ve highlighted just some of the many resources available to survivors, from crisis and medical supports to financial assistance and emotional support.

We’re so grateful for your help to foster a safer, more caring community with AVP💜

Reaching out in a crisis can be difficult, but you do not have to carry everything on your own. Support is available, and you deserve care and safety.

During those times, crisis supports exist to help you through, whether you need immediate assistance, emotional support, or safety planning. 💜

During Victims and Survivors of Crime Week, we want to recognize that healing can look different for everyone. For some survivors, medical care may be part of that journey.💜

Whether you need immediate medical attention, information about your options, or simply someone to listen without judgment, you deserve care that is compassionate and on your terms.

Love notes to survivors series📜💜

Choosing when, and how to heal is a crucial part of reclaiming agency after trauma.

At AVP, we believe in centering the survivor. This means prioritizing the survivor’s autonomy to make their own decisions and recognizing that they are the experts in their own experiences and healing.

Emotional support is a key component to empowering survivors who have experienced violence regain agency in life, and directly counter the isolation and loss of control caused by trauma.

Here at AVP, we provide free, one on one, confidential peer-based support for anyone who has experienced violence and anyone who has caused harm, specializing in gender-based and sexualized violence.

Our peer-support hours💜:
Mon to Fri - 11AM to 3PM with Wednesday being appointment basis
