https://www.chainoftitle.ca/ We are living in a generation of creators. The tools necessary for filmmaking have never been as accessible and affordable as they are today. Consumer equipment and software and online tutorials are abundant and user-friendly; however, there is one component missing -- the copyrights that are created when utilizing these tools. More importantly, the knowledge of how to secure, assign, maintain, and protect your project so it can be successfully marketed, distributed or sold, is lacking. The best legally vetted film contract package available for independent filmmakers. $17.99

We want to change that by creating a free resource that provides the information needed to do this. Understanding the chain of title for a film is the single most important thing you need to know when it comes to selling your product. The process of securing rights may seem overwhelming, but when it is presented in a way that is easily understandable, it's actually quite simple. We plan on going through the chain of title and copyrights in a film point by point. Each one will have a video explanation, first by a lawyer in the United States and Canada - to explain the legal definition and meaning. Then by an independent filmmaker on how that information translates to us in the low budget realm - whether you are the one securing the rights, or the one assigning them.
