Every great practitioner starts somewhere.
This morning, one of our first-year domestic students shared that she had stayed up until late at night practicing acupuncture points on Barbie dolls. Soon her friends began collecting Barbies for her, and now she has more dolls than she knows what to do with! 😄
Learning acupuncture takes patience, practice, and persistence. Seeing this level of enthusiasm in a new student truly made my day.
The future of Traditional Chinese Medicine is in good hands.

🌿 Do you often feel tired, cold, or unusually warm?
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), these symptoms may reflect different patterns of imbalance, such as Yin Deficiency, Yang Deficiency, or Qi Deficiency. Although they can share some similarities, their underlying causes, tongue appearance, and pulse characteristics are often quite different.
Swipe through the infographic to learn the key distinctions and remember: the right treatment starts with the right diagnosis. Every individual is unique, and a professional TCM assessment is essential before beginning treatment.

【Oshio Story】One of our international students, originally from Seattle and now living on Salt Spring Island, leaves home at 5:30 a.m. every day for his clinical practicum. After taking buses and ferries, he doesn’t return home until around 8:00 p.m. Yet he does this day after day, driven by his passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine.
This kind of dedication and sincerity is truly inspiring. Success is rarely an accident—it is built through commitment, perseverance, and purpose. We have no doubt that he is getting closer to his goal every single day. We are also proud to have students like him and look forward to seeing him continue to grow and succeed.

Yesterday, we held an in-person and on-line seminar on how to apply and prepare for the Pan-Canadian exams, which was very successful. Thank you for all of our speakers.
