The Music Box School of Music Welcome to The Music Box School of Music. Quality piano lessons in the heart of James Bay, Victoria. The Music Box specializes in teaching music to children.

We offer music lessons to children beginning at age 5. We provide music lessons from experienced, qualified professionals in piano, voice and cello. We are a small, family, home-based business and commit to enriching your child's life with a quality musical education in a relaxed, friendly and professional setting. The Music Box is in the James Bay area of Victoria, conveniently located near James Bay Community School, South Park Family School, Sir James Douglas & Margaret Jenkins Elementary Schools as well as Christ Church Cathedral School & Glenlyon Norfolk School.

A little look back at Week 2 of Music Box by the Sea 🌊 🎹🎶

We composed with stickers, experimented with water xylophones, played Boomwhackers, explored the beach and shared plenty of music with families at pickup.

One of my favourite things about the week was seeing how excited the kids were to create music of their own, not just play it.

Day One at Music Box by the Sea 💕🎶

What a wonderful morning!
Piano, music games, creativity, new friendships and an oceanside adventure filled with ducks, playground fun, beach discoveries and plenty of laughter.

My favourite moment was hearing a parent say at pickup, “This is such a magical place!”

I think that sums up Day One perfectly ❤️
And the best part? We get to do it all again tomorrow!

Douglas the Duck is ready for a summer of music, creativity, and seaside adventures!

Music Box by the Sea is a joyful small-group morning program for children ages 5–10, featuring piano exploration, rhythm games, composition, creative musical activities, and beach/nature exploration inspired by our beautiful oceanside neighbourhood.

Week 1: August 10–14
Week 2: August 17–21
Time: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Cost: $195/week
Limited to 8 children per week

Each week will have a different theme, so children are welcome to register for one or both weeks.
