Hi families, we are sharing the below information on behalf of the Community Resilience program at the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society.

"My name is Sarbjot and I am a Case Management & Engagement Coordinator for the Community Resilience program at the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society.

I'm excited to share that we are hosting a FREE 8-session workshop series titled, "Learning Through Play: Parents As Literacy Supporters in Immigrant Communities (IPALS)."

These sessions focus on empowering newcomer families through learning and play, strengthening family connection through literacy, and building confidence in supporting literacy at home. Snacks and light refreshments will be provided, as well as materials and books for each family to take home!

The sessions begin on July 27 th and are open to newcomer families and their children ages 3-5 . Please see the poster below.

Full-time care for $701 a month, plus additional discounts through the affordable child care benefit and Métis Child Care Benefit Program for eligible families.
