The Other Guise creates original theatrical presentations supporting Vancouver Island artists. The Board of Directors is comprised of local, professionals.
Founded in the spring of 2000, the company is under the leadership of Artistic and Executive Director Matthew Payne, a director, actor, playwright and educator based in Victoria, BC.

Have you ever wanted to cut up a stranger’s clothes and remake their outfit?
Now’s your chance.
The Other Guise Theatre’s international hit, Fashion Machine, is about to take off on tour to Australia in September but before the show hits the road, we’re giving everyone a chance to participate in the fun! And what’s more it’s totally FREE.
Fashion Machine sees a team of artists from the fields of theatre, textiles and photography work with community participants to transform audience members’ outfits into entirely new creations.
Join us on Friday, August 14 at 5:00 pm for a performance of Fashion Machine, kicking off our community block party. Watch the transformations unfold live before the evening continues with bands, singing, and revelry!
All workshops and the performance are free. We hope to see you there!
