Our October PAC meeting has been moved to October 23rd. 🗓️

Our first parent Ed presentation of the year, Screenagers, is happening this Thursday, October 16th @ 7pm, in the Dave Dunnet Theatre at Oak Bay High. This is a joint presentation by PACs from Monterey Middle School, Lansdowne Middle School, and Oak Bay High. There is no cost, but we kindly ask that you pre-register for this event to ensure your place.

Monterey Families, we have postponed the Thursday, May 15th PAC AGM. The new date will be Thursday, May 22nd at 7pm in the Foods Room.

Please email the PAC if you are interested in any executive positions for next school year, 2025-26.

Music bingo is a little over 2 weeks away! Buy your tickets via e-transfer to [email protected]. $12 per ticket per person (includes one bingo card each round/2 rounds) and $5 per additional card. Please include in the message section how many tickets you are buying and the password for the e-transfer (Monterey or music bingo are good ones).

I’ve also attached our list of sponsors/donors so you can get a sneak peek at the prizes that will be available. A big thank-you to all who contributed.

Please join us March 17 from 5-7pm for our annual Young Entrepreneurs Market! Most of you will know about our annual Young Entrepreneurs program. This excellent grade 6 learning unit culminates with our grade 6’s displaying and selling their products at their market in our school gym. So bring your curiosity and cash to this marvelous evening, and share in this fantastic opportunity to support the learning and creativity of our grade 6’s!

In addition to supporting our students, you will also be supporting a local or global charity as a portion of all sales is donated to charity. Between 5pm - 7pm on March 12th, you will be welcome to visit our YE Market, where over 120 of our 6s will be showing and selling their products.

While at the market you are also welcome visit our foods room which is just up the hall from the gym. There you will find our PAC Pizza Parlour and a live music ensemble, courtesy of Monterey Middle School Strings! Come and enjoy the atmosphere and have some dinner at the same time.

We hope you will join us on the 12th for this wonderful evening, as we celebrate the hard work and learning of our students and enjoy catching up with neighbours and friends.

Your child’s teacher will have sent out more information on gift ideas, but any new, unwrapped toys for infants up to late teens are needed and appreciated. 🎁

The deadline to bring in your toys is Thursday, December 19th. 🎄

Volleyball Info! 🏐

➡️ We are in need of several volleyball coaches for our boys’ team’s next term. If you are interested in helping assess, create and/or coach a team, please reach out to Jason Gammon @ [email protected].
