It’s always special to welcome one of our own back to the Phillip T. Young Recital Hall.

Kerry DuWors, a UVic School of Music alumna and violin professor at Brandon University, returns to Victoria to join pianist Futaba Niekawa and UVic cello professor Pamela Highbaugh Aloni for an extraordinary evening of chamber music.

Together, they’ll perform two monumental works: Beethoven’s iconic “Archduke” Trio and Schubert’s radiant Trio in B-flat Major.

🎶 Guest Lecture: Embodied Listening & Improvised Movement with Bill Coleman

We’re thrilled to welcome internationally acclaimed choreographer, dancer, and teacher Bill Coleman for a talk exploring movement, listening, improvisation, and collaboration.

Drawing on a lifetime of dance practice, Coleman will share a movement methodology that cultivates an embodied awareness of sight and sound—and explore how it informs his work in improvised tap dance and interaction with others.

🌎 Coleman’s work has been presented across North America, Europe, China, Mongolia, and Greenland, and has involved collaborations with artists and communities around the world.
