📣 Car Trunk Yard Sale Fundraiser

Join us on Saturday, April 11 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm in the Westmont School parking lot for a community car trunk yard sale.

In February, our students travelled to Ottawa as part of the Experience Canada Exchange the got to experience a Maple Farm and tasted maple taffy, went to Madahoki Farm, skating on the canal, had a tour of the houses of parliament, went to a 67s hockey game, and went to the Winterlude Festival. In May, we will be hosting our Ottawa twins here at Westmont. We are fundraising to help give them a true West Coast experience, including whale watching, wild play, kayaking, museums and art galleries and other memorable local activities.

Our high school students will be selling a variety of items including baking, art, second hand items, cotton candy, popcorn, tea and coffee and more.

The wider Westmont community are warmly invited to participate by bringing a vehicle and selling items from their trunk, or simply by stopping by to shop and support the students. The event will also be shared with the Greater Victoria and South Island community.

Please note: this is a cash-only event.

Come treasure hunt, enjoy the atmosphere, and help us make this exchange experience truly special for our visiting students.

High School Adventure:
Meanwhile, our high schoolers embarked on an exciting cultural exchange to Skageeng Nation, Powerview Pine Falls, Manitoba.

🥁 Day 1 kicked off with a heartwarming drum song at Skageeng Anicinabe Highschool and a deep dive into environmental stewardship at Whiteshell Laboratories—a former nuclear site. 🍃

🎣 By Day 3, ice fishing success stories emerged (shoutout to Jasper! 🐟) and bannock-making in the bush brought the spirit of survival and camaraderie to life. 🔥
