Island Hula Dancers

What's on my mind lately? Dreaming about Hawaii.

I'm the photographer of this picture, taken during our Hula Show at The Kensington last night. "The Island Hula Dancers" and "The Island Serenaders" put on a great performance that kept everyone happy and smiling. Thank you all, I'm so very proud of you! 💕

Thank you to my four awesome grandkids who danced with me at our Hula show last night, and for the great friends who sang some beautiful Hula tunes to make it all a successful Hawaiian evening presentation. Making people happy is what we do with our music and dances.

How my grandkids have grown! And still enjoying performing the Hawaiian Hula dances with me and my other students. Last Thursday, we did an hour Hula show at the beautiful Berwick Royal Oak Residence. It was good to dance on their theatre, complete with stage and spotlights. Awesome show, everybody! So proud of you!

I love being a mother, so here's a greeting to all the mothers in the world.

I was looking at this precious photograph of me and my brothers Noli, Tito and Hernando, and my youngest sister Inday, during my visit to Manila in the 80's. Missing is my eldest sister Grace, who was in Canada at that time. We are all very close to each other. How wonderful it is when we are together.

The holiday season quickly came and went, and now we're going back to our normal pace. I did have a chance to meet up with my hula "ohana" (Hawaiian for family), and did a nice Hula show with my grandkids, Kimika and Wyatt. Next week, I will get back to work at the Saanich Commonwealth Place for the start of my Winter-Spring Term to teach 6 fun courses. Loving it! ❤😄🥰❤💕
