Orange Shirt Day is this Wednesday, Sept. 30th. We strongly encourage students & staff to wear orange to remember the children and families who have been affected by residential schools and to demonstrate our commitment to reconciliation. For more information: bit.ly/3jnWehe

We are monitoring the air quality in the Greater Victoria region. If it does not improve overnight, our schools in high smoke density areas will use strategies similar to a ‘Hold & Secure’. This includes keeping students indoors during recess/lunch breaks. For more information: bit.ly/33n3tj2

For those who are returning to the classroom Thursday is the first day of school for French Immersion students (9:00- 2:42). English students have their first day of school on Friday (9:00-2:42). Students who are opting for the hybrid model the first day will either be Monday September 14th or Tuesday September 15th, watch your inboxes for further information.

School is going to look a little different this year, as staff and students need a little extra time to prepare for a new and safe learning experience.

That’s why we’re starting with an orientation week on Sept. 8, when staff will return to familiarize themselves with the updated health and safety guidelines and how they will work in their school.

Students will be welcomed back to class for orientation by Sept. 10 and will use that time to get familiar with classrooms and schedules that may look a little different than they did before the pandemic.

Did you order from the Alert First Aid Fundraiser? If so, they will be available for pick up Wednesday March 11 at the 6:30pm PAC meeting! Anything not picked up will be distributed to your child's classroom.
