What better way to celebrate the end of the school year than with an afternoon at one of Vancouver Island's most beautiful beaches?
Our MYP5 students spent their final afternoon together at Witty's Lagoon, enjoying spike ball, discovering local marine life, soaking up the sunshine, and simply relaxing after a busy and rewarding year of learning. The stunning weather and spectacular coastal scenery provided the perfect backdrop for friendship, reflection, and celebration.
As another school year comes to a close, we wish all of our students and families a safe, memorable, and adventure-filled summer. Here's to making the most of everything that beautiful Vancouver Island has to offer!

MYP4/Grade 9 French students welcomed special guest Kim Jenson, Principal of the Métis Nation of Greater Victoria Association, for an engaging and meaningful learning experience on Monday.
Through stories, music, and community perspectives, students explored Métis history in Canada and learned about the Michif French language. They also created medicine pouches while gaining a deeper understanding of Métis culture, identity, and traditions.
This experience enriched our IB learning journey by fostering intercultural understanding, appreciation for diverse perspectives, and meaningful connections to Canada's rich cultural heritage. Thank you, Kim, for sharing your knowledge, experiences, and passion for supporting Indigenous voices and reconciliation through education.
Merci, Kim, for an unforgettable morning of learning!

Our Junior and Senior Sports Days were held Wednesday and Thursday in beautiful sunshine, with students enjoying soccer, ultimate frisbee, egg and spoon races, tug of war, capture the flag, and more. The field was full of energy, laughter, and friendly competition, with house points on the line - and staff joining in the fun too!

Curiosity flourished at yesterday’s Grade 4 & 5 Science Fair!
Our students didn’t just present experiments - they truly spoke the language of science. From thoughtful hypotheses and detailed observations to confident explanations of their results, students impressed everyone with their ability to clearly articulate their learning and scientific thinking.
It was inspiring to see such enthusiasm, creativity, and curiosity in action as students asked questions, explored ideas, and shared discoveries with pride. We are incredibly proud of the confidence and knowledge our young scientists demonstrated throughout the event.
A huge thank you to our staff and families for supporting this amazing learning experience. The future of science is bright!

Camp Thunderbird Adventures!
Our Grade 4/5 and MYP2 students wrapped up the year with an unforgettable trip to Camp Thunderbird - building connections, challenging themselves, and enjoying the outdoors.
From kayaking, paddleboarding, archery, and rock climbing to campfire games and dock jumps, students embraced every moment. Our MYP2 group also celebrated a big milestone with their first overnight trip!
Highlights included swimming, wildlife sightings (hello eagles!), and plenty of teamwork and laughter along the way.
We’re so grateful to continue this special year-end tradition - it is such a memorable way to close the school year.

Today we celebrate Kate and Hanli (Class of 2026) who are leaving behind a meaningful legacy through their service action: the Little Free Library. Their initiative has made a lasting contribution to our community, inspiring a love of reading, sharing, and connection.
Rest assured - their work will continue. Kate and Hanli are passing the baton to Laila, Sofia, and Vivienne, who will build on this project and deepen its impact with a continued focus on literacy and community engagement.
Little Free Libraries are part of a global movement - small, community book exchanges where anyone can take a book or leave one. They promote accessibility, literacy, and collective responsibility. This project is a powerful example of students identifying a need and creating sustainable change.

Behind the scenes magic at Graduation. Before the caps flew and the ceremony began, there was a special kind of excitement in the air. Our “Getting Ready for Grad” moments capture that perfect sneak peek - graduates stepping into their gowns, adjusting their caps, sharing smiles, and soaking in the anticipation of what’s to come.
These behind-the-scenes glimpses remind us that graduation isn’t just a milestone - it is a feeling: a mix of pride, nerves, joy, and excitement as each grad prepares to cross the stage.
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers and staff who were there every step of the way, ensuring every student looked and felt their absolute best. Your care and attention made these moments even more meaningful.
