Community Garage Sale at Lighthouse Christian Academy!

Join us on Saturday, August 29th, from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM at 1289 Parkdale Drive for our LCA Garage Sale!

Come hunt for great treasures and support our school community. Every dollar raised goes directly toward securing a new school bus for our wonderful students!

We made amazing progress during our first LCA Work Party, and now we’re heading into Round 2 to get these projects across the finish line! We’d love some extra hands this coming week. 💙

Projects include:

🌿 Prayer Garden, flagpole garden & outdoor landscaping
🪚 Cedar seating, stepping stones & picnic table repairs
🎨 Painting around the school
🧹 Organizing sheds & resource spaces
🔨 Installing bathroom sinks/countertop, whiteboards & projector
🪑 Setting up classrooms and shared spaces

Can’t come help but still want to contribute? 💙

🎵 Instrument Support for Upcoming LCA Band Students

As we prepare for another great year of music at LCA, we wanted to share a helpful resource with families of students who will be participating in band this year.

The Music Society provides instruments to Greater Victoria families who may not otherwise be able to afford the cost of an instrument for the school year.

Their current available instruments include trumpets, a marching trombone, flute, violin, keyboards, and electric guitars. They may also be able to source other instruments depending on availability.

Families can learn more and apply directly at www.musicsociety.ca.

To qualify, families must live in the Greater Victoria area, have a child who needs an instrument for school and cannot afford one, and be able to meet in the Victoria area for pickup. The student must also be present when the instrument is picked up.

Please feel free to share this resource with other families who may benefit. We are grateful for community organizations that help make music education accessible to more students! 🎺🎶

Our first campus Work Party exceeded every expectation! What started as a big task list became a beautiful testimony of God’s provision — through generous volunteers, donations, delicious refreshments, encouragement, and prayer. Just like the loaves and fishes, He multiplied every offering.

Beyond the campus improvements, the greatest blessing was the joy, laughter, and stronger relationships built together. Thank you to every person who showed up and worked with your hands and hearts. We are grateful for you!

Because we had so much fun and made such great progress, we’re doing it again! Work Party “Take 2” is happening August 17–21, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Come help us put the finishing touches on our campus before school starts!

Watch for before-and-after photos as we celebrate the fruit of our community’s labour and God’s faithful provision! 💙
