Please bring non-perishable food items to school by Friday morning. Every item helps someone in your neighbourhood!

Learning, creating, and making a difference! Our Grade 4 students visited the Victoria Hand Project to discover how innovation and empathy can help transform lives. Inspired by Terry Fox’s courage and determination, they applied their creativity and problem-solving skills in a hands-on STEM challenge to build a hand of their own! What great innovation! 🙌

On Monday, our school came together to learn, reflect, and remember. We spent time deepening our understanding of Truth and Reconciliation and reflecting on how we can continue this important work in our school and in our own journeys.

Tomorrow, we wear orange.🧡

Staff and students will come together for a special Truth and Reconciliation assembly as we take time to listen, learn, reflect, and honour the children who never came home, Survivors, their families, and communities.

Truth and Reconciliation is not just about one day. It is about continuing to do the work - in our classrooms, in our communities, and on our own personal journeys of learning and understanding.

May we continue to listen with open hearts and take meaningful steps toward reconciliation. 🧡

We were blessed to celebrate our Opening School Mass with Father Silvichan. In his homily, he reminded us of the importance of family and how, as a school community, we are all part of one big family — supporting, caring for, and learning from one another.

Just as we are part of our school family, we are also part of God’s family. What a wonderful reminder as we begin another year together! 🙏

Our Grade 5 students recently headed to the beach for a day of hands-on learning about rocks and the natural world. Students explored different types of rocks, observed their features, and enjoyed discovering more about the environment around them. What a great day of exploration and connection on our beautiful coastline!

Our school garden just got a little more lively…our chickens have arrived! 🐓🐓🐓🐓

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the chicken naming contest—your donations helped us expand the coop and create a great home for our new feathered friends. We’re so excited to introduce Peanut, Sassy, Lavender, and Fluffy.

We’re especially grateful to Mr. Moore, Mr. Johnson, and Mr. Read for their time and talent with getting the expanded coop ready. A big shoutout to our Grade 2 students, who have taken on the responsibility of caring for the chickens with such enthusiasm—we’re even already collecting eggs! 🥚

What a wonderful way to bring hands-on learning to life.
