St. Patrick's Elementary School

This past week, St. Pat’s hosted an awesome Middle School Volleyball Camp! It was a fantastic week filled with skill-building, teamwork and lots of fun. Thank you to Mr. Dufort and Miss. Clarkson for creating such a great experience for our students! 👏🏐

Our Grade 6 Entrepreneur Fair at the end of June was a fantastic celebration of creativity, innovation, and hard work! Students proudly showcased the businesses they had planned and created, welcoming parents, staff, and fellow students to explore their products and ideas. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our young entrepreneurs!

Several of our classes had the opportunity to learn from Margaret Lidkea as she shared her knowledge of our local tidal pools. Students explored the incredible diversity of life found along our shoreline while learning about the importance of caring for these unique coastal ecosystems. We hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful summer filled with sunshine, adventure, and plenty of time exploring the amazing beaches around us! 🌊🦀🐚

Congratulations to our Knights of Columbus Free Throw Competition winners! A big thank you to Mr. Redchurch and the Knights of Columbus for organizing this event and for the many ways they support our school community throughout the year. 🏀👏💚💛

What a great Sports Day! Students showed teamwork, determination, and school spirit throughout the day while proudly representing countries from around the world. It was a fun way to celebrate the opening day of the FIFA World Cup!

To finish off the day, everyone enjoyed a well-earned popsicle after a day of fun and friendly competition. Thanks to all our parent volunteers who helped make the day run so smoothly!

Join us for an evening of fun, food, and community on Tuesday, June 16th from 4:30–7:30 PM at St. Patrick’s Elementary School!

Enjoy a variety of activities including a cake walk, cake decorating contest, games and prizes, bouncy castle, face painting, crafts, glitter tattoos, bubbles, and a delicious BBQ hosted by the Knights of Columbus.

This event is by donation and open to all SPS families. We can’t wait to celebrate another wonderful year together and create lasting memories with our school community!

Our Grade 5 students recently headed to the beach for a day of hands-on learning about rocks and the natural world. Students explored different types of rocks, observed their features, and enjoyed discovering more about the environment around them. What a great day of exploration and connection on our beautiful coastline!

Our school garden just got a little more lively…our chickens have arrived! 🐓🐓🐓🐓

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the chicken naming contest—your donations helped us expand the coop and create a great home for our new feathered friends. We’re so excited to introduce Peanut, Sassy, Lavender, and Fluffy.

We’re especially grateful to Mr. Moore, Mr. Johnson, and Mr. Read for their time and talent with getting the expanded coop ready. A big shoutout to our Grade 2 students, who have taken on the responsibility of caring for the chickens with such enthusiasm—we’re even already collecting eggs! 🥚

What a wonderful way to bring hands-on learning to life.
