Hello Brides of 2026!
I’m Clair, the creative director of Petal Palette, a floral design studio based in Victoria. If you’re searching for a wedding florist, I’d be honoured if you’d take a moment to explore my recent work on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/petal.palette/).
At Petal Palette, my passion lies in telling each couple’s unique love story through bespoke floral designs. With a background in art and design, and over a decade of experience in advertising as a graphic designer and art director, I bring a thoughtful and creative approach to my floral creations. My journey began with a spark during an editorial photoshoot, and since then, I’ve been fortunate to travel the world, learning from 12 floral masters who have deeply shaped my design philosophy. My work emphasizes thoughtful and elevated designs that are both refined and naturalistic.
If my style resonates with you, I would love the opportunity to help bring your floral vision to life and make your special day unforgettable.
Feel free to reach out with your inspiration photos or fill the questionnaire (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfNEGKFwlJditPXX6VfeT6qhaTp957rEgn9_sH6FzpY41vrcw/viewform), and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Warmly,
Clair
Here’s a little behind-the-scenes moment of me setting up a citrus floral arrangement for Rudi .vic , a local restaurant here in Victoria.
I started working with flowers back in 2007, simply as a hobby while working full-time as a graphic designer in advertising. Designing with flowers became my way of grounding myself - a practice that gently reminded me to be here, in the present.
Some people think flowers are fleeting and not worth the money because they fade. But to me, they’re one of the most beautiful ways we connect with our emotions and celebrate life as it unfolds. Their short lifespan isn’t a loss, it’s a reminder. From seed to bloom and back again, they live a full circle. And maybe, that’s what makes them so special.
I know I’m talking a lot,
but really, what I want to say is... 'I love being a florist'!
Victoria’s mild climate and passionate growers make it a dream to work here. Every farm has its own story and a different way of nurturing flowers. And I get to bring those pristine blooms straight from the field to the hands of people who will enjoy them.
Before, I created digital designs. Now, I create organic designs from whatever the season offers. Every time I work with flowers, from bud to fading petal, I’m reminded how lucky I am to be alive and to witness beauty in all its forms.
That’s why I chose this path. And I hope, in some way, the joy I feel gets passed on to you too.💛

Spirea is one of my favourite flowering shrubs. I planted them when we moved in to our Canada home. It is the 3rd time they’re blooming in our garden and it makes my heart feel warm. It is definitely not a statement flower but, spirea is very cohesive with almost any flowers, I think. So, I can’t help loving spirea and, I needed some of them to enjoy inside of my home. I got some beautiful ranunculus and hyacinth from work and, I put together a Springtime arrangement. Oftentimes, I need no rules and no expectations when it comes to creating. So, today, I just snipped them and put them into the vessel(it is my favorite dinnerware from Korea ;)) without too much thoughts. Oh, I used some rattan for fun because it was calling me in the garage. ;) I cannot describe how gorgeous the fragrance is.

I made this wreath with some acasia mimosa(acasia dealbata) for a customer who wanted to have a bright and cheerful Spring door wreath. Aren’t those fluffy little yellow flowers so cute? We can enjoy this mimosa only between Feb and March. Having mimosa means, nature’s telling us ‘Spring is around the corner!’.

Green & white bouquet I made for Vogue Korea ordered by Erdem UK.
If you ask me what is Clair’s style of handtied bouquet? This would represent one of my style bouquets. I like simplicity but abundant texture.
