Gabriel Dyer and Simon Whittaker will represent 🇨🇦 in the men’s four while Athlete of the Year, Giancarlo DiPompeo will join teammate Thomas Boruta in the men’s eight.

U SPORTS Coach of the Year, Hilary Stellingwerff, is heading back to the World Stage, this time as a coach of Team Canada at the 2026 WA World U20 Championship August 5-9.

Stellingwerff will coach Canada's top middle distance runners as the squad takes on the world’s best U20 athletes at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

The University of Victoria men's basketball team has added another NCAA Division I test to its preseason schedule, welcoming Oregon State University to the CARSA Performance Gym for a pair of exhibition games on Aug. 20 and 22, 2026.

Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Aug. 20 and 1:00 p.m. on Aug. 22, giving Vancouver Island basketball fans a rare opportunity to see an NCAA Division I men's program compete in Victoria.
