AUVIC is recruiting! We are an engineering club that design and manufacture autonomous underwater vehicles by combining mechanical, electrical and software disciplines to compete in San Diego every year against teams from all over the world! Right now we are in the process of designing a new AUV for the 2021 competition coming up, and are looking for new members, regardless of current skill set.

If interested in the engineering side, skills to be learned includes CAD modelling, manufacturing and fabrication, fluid analysis, signal processing, PCB design, AI, and real time operating systems. These are skills that go a long way and can help land amazing coops, as AUVIC alumni have went on to work for companies such as Tesla, Babcock, and International Submarine Engineering LTD.

If you'd like to pursue a non-engineering role within our organization, there are plenty of positions that are just as vital to the group while requiring non-technical capabilities. These positions include project managers, social media marketers, bookkeepers, and event planners.

To join, it's as easy as hopping onto a zoom call during our general meetings with the times posted on our website auvic.ca, or sending us an email at [email protected]. Hope to see you there!

AUVIC would like to extend a huge thank you to Kiewit for their generosity. With their support and funding, AUVIC will be able to build the new frame for the 2021 AUV as well as upgrade the motor controllers and power management boards.

While AUVIC will not be moving forward to the finals, we would like to congratulate the four teams who have made it to the finals and we would like to wish the best of luck to the teams who will be competing for the wildcard spot.
