Aloha Fit Hawaiian Dance Fitness is a fun and beginner friendly full body dance workout. It isolates your larger muscle groups, increasing strength and definition to your core with emphasis on the abs, glutes, quads and arms. Come join for 1 hour of dance fitness fun!

Hello, Victoria hula lovers! 🌺

Cheryl is excited to offer a special 'Gentle Pop-Up Hula Class' on Sunday, August 30th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM! 🌴💃

Registration is now open, and spots are limited!

This special pop-up class will feature a variety of gentle Hula dances previously taught by Aloha Fit at different locations throughout Victoria. New to Hula? No worries! This class is beginner-friendly and open to ages 16+. We’ll also spend some time at the beginning of class going over a variety of basic Hula movements.

Come dressed comfortably, and feel free to bring a sarong or some fun tropical attire if you'd like! 🌺 Please also remember to bring a water bottle.

I’d love to see some familiar faces and welcome some new ones to the dance floor!

It was so nice to get together and practice some hula virtually yesterday - Thank goodness for Zoom !!

We will be performing next month on August 29th at the Mary Winspear Center in Sidney with Island Vintage Events and I am so excited! Thank you to Dan and Tanya with Island Vintage Events - we can't wait to be back on stage for the Vintage Fair!!

Also, stay tuned, as online AlohaFit Hula & Fitness classes will FINALLY be back starting September!! An announcement is coming regarding classes soon 🤙🌴😁

Last month was the end of an era with Oakland's hula! After years of teaching Aloha Fit Hawaiian Dance Fitness and Senior's Hula, the weekly classes have come to an end! It has been an absolute honor to dance with all of these wonderful women every single week. All the dancing, swaying, sweating, laughing, chatting, and smiling we shared was all so amazing. 💗

Of course we had to go out with a celebration! After our classes ended, we all had a lovely lunch at East Garden Restaurant (their Singapore noodles and eggplant dishes were ridiculously delicious!). I wanted to share again a huge thank you to these wonderful groups for making me feel so appreciated and loved - each single one of you are so amazing and I am honored to have gotten to know and hula with each of you every week! Also, a huge shoutout to all the staff at Oakland's Recreation for being so lovely to work with over the past few years!! ☺️

Disclaimer: My weekly adult hula classes have ended in Victoria due to the fact that my family and I have moved to the mainland! I am very excited for this move, which means amazing things for my family. As for hula, the classes WILL continue in workshop form every couple of months, along with online classes starting in the June! Don't fret, Victoria - I will make sure the hula continues!!

Last week marked the end of another fun-filled session of Preschool Fun Dance at SeaParc Recreation! This session was especially meaningful for me, as it was the last weekly session that I will personally be teaching at SeaParc.

It has truly been a pleasure dancing each week with the many wonderful Sooke families I've had the opportunity to meet over the years. Thank you for all the smiles, laughter, energy, and memories we've shared along the way! ❤️

But don't worry - the dancing isn't going anywhere! Aloha Fit has been growing, and we're excited to welcome some amazing new dance instructors to our team to carry on the fun weekly classes. Stay tuned as we introduce these wonderful teachers in the next little bit!

And that's not all! I'll also be hosting family dance party events every couple of months, featuring dancing, musical jam sessions, arts and crafts, and plenty of fun for the whole family. 🎶🎨💃

Thank you again, Sooke, for your support over the years. It's been such a joy being part of your community, and I look forward to seeing what the future holds! 😊🎢🐠

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to teach a hula workshop with the Victoria Ballroom Dance Society www.vbds.org . What a great night with a wonderful group of amazing dancers - plus, quite possibly the biggest group I have taught so far! A big mahalo to VBDS for having me! ☺️🌺🌴
