Fall Newsletter Important information regarding the fall & some BIG news!

My beautiful franken-strat! DiMarzio Cruisers, new pickguard, and a few other little internal mods made this already beautiful 60th anniversary strat PERFECT.

I've always had some kind of little recording set up, and I think this is the most streamlined it has ever been! Since covid hit, this little studio has doubled as my online teaching area. I was always hesitant about online lessons, but they're a great alternative to regular in person lessons. In addition to my in-home lesson route, I teach students from Halifax to Geneva! Plus, I'm sure students appreciate having nice audio for online lessons!

It took me a long time to come around to digital rigs. I was a valve amp purist for a long time, and I still have my favorite tube amp (although it's collecting dust). Now, I think there is a place for both digital and analog amplification, and they work quite harmoniously for me--I did a whole album using both digital and analog gear, and it was amazing! (music from that album is on this post).

It took me a long time to get used to extended range guitars. After experimenting with 7 & 8 string guitars, I've found my groove. Seven strings and a floating trem system is my go to, and I'm absolutely loving this new guitar!
