Vernon Family Resource Centre is offering free counselling for those impacted by the Bradley Creek wildfire It has been a stressful week for thousands of people in the North Okanagan and free mental health counselling is available for those in need.

A local family whose had to leave their home is looking for this specific blanket for one of their children. They’re hoping someone happens to have the same one, it’s from winners likely 2020, but was a gift so they aren’t certain. It’s grey and white chevron on one side, full grey on the back. If you happen to have this lying around and are willing to part with it, please let me know! The kiddo who lost this is so sad 😢

Erin
Early Childhood Educator Assistant

Erin is excited to be returning to the Secret Garden Daycare team after previously working with us from 2017 to 2020. She has always had a passion for working with young children and loves being part of their journey as they learn, grow, and discover the world around them.

Known for her calm, patient, and caring nature, Erin enjoys creating meaningful relationships with children and their families. For the past 10 years, she has also assisted with children’s dance classes, helping young dancers build confidence, develop new skills, and most importantly, have fun. These experiences have further strengthened her passion for encouraging children as they learn through movement, creativity, and play. She believes every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and encouraged as they build confidence through everyday experiences.

Outside of Secret Garden, Erin enjoys spending time camping, paddle boarding, dancing, reading, crocheting, gardening, and writing to pen pals around the world. She also loves spending quality time with her husband, Joe, their family, and their two cats, Leo and Stanley.

We are so happy to welcome Erin back to the Secret Garden family and know she will continue making a positive impact on the children and families she works with.
