Confidence & Community: Educators gently nurture each child’s independence, confidence, and sense of wonder, while friendships blossom naturally as children collaborate, share, and play together in a space that truly feels like a second home.

With 11 years in early learning (and 1 year with us at Raising Stars), Mrs. Davidson brings an adventurous, creative spirit to our classrooms every single day!

Classroom: Super Stars ®

Philosophy & Passion: Dedicated to the Curiosity Approach®, Mrs. Davidson is a passionate advocate for "loose parts" and authentic play. She excels at curating intentional environments that invite children to innovate. She loves taking our older Super Stars® "out of the center" for nature-based discovery and developing unique process art experiences where learning is always an unhurried journey of wonder!

She strongly believes that children thrive through hands-on, outdoor, and sensory exploration, viewing outdoor play as an essential piece of meaningful early learning. Meet Ms. Papou—a cornerstone of Raising Stars Preschool® and a familiar, comforting face to all of our children and families! As the mother of Miss Sewell, she brings a wealth of wisdom, empathy, and professional expertise to our program.

Classroom: Little Stars ℠ (4 Years at Raising Stars)

Philosophy & Passion: As someone who has navigated the complexities of early diagnoses within her own family, Ms. Papou bridges HR expertise with a heart for parent support. Outside the classroom, she is a master gardener who passionately shares her love for nature and "seed-to-table" education with our growing Stars!

Behind Raising Stars Preschool® is our founder and Pedagogical Leader, Miss Sewell! After navigating her own journey with an invisible disability, she founded Raising Stars with a singular mission: to provide every family access to high-quality, fully inclusive early childhood education.

Classroom: Little Stars ℠ (4 Years at Raising Stars)

Philosophy & Passion: A fierce advocate for mental health and a two-time mentor for the BC ECE LOT program, Miss Sewell blends professional expertise with deep advocacy. She is dedicated to cultivating calm, aesthetic spaces where every child feels a profound sense of belonging and discovery.
