The School will reopen on August 26th, 2026. Until this time, our staff will have limited access to emails and may not respond immediately.

The school office will have someone available for phone calls starting on August 24th from 9-12, and 1-3.

Please note that if you are inquiring about the 2026-2027 school year, a welcome newsletter will be sent out around August 25th. This will provide details regarding registration, fees, bell schedules, school supplies, etc.

Student Registration -Thursday August 27th, 2026
Grades 10 - 12 from 9:00 am- 12:00pm
(closed from 12:00pm - 1:00 pm)
Grades 7 - 9 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Timetables will be available for pick up at registration on August 27th or viewable through PowerSchool. Students and parents will be able to bring school supplies and locate their lockers during registration day on the 27th.

Course changes will only be permitted for students who have
exceptional circumstances such as a course sequencing that is
incorrect, completion of a course in summer school, or insufficient
prerequisites (course failure from the previous year).

🌾 A message from Ms. Britney Urichuk

"My name is Britney Urichuk, and I am so excited to be joining the teaching staff at St. Mary's! As a proud alumna, I am absolutely thrilled to return to my roots and give back to the Vegreville community! If I'm not in the classroom, I'm usually outdoors. I grew up on a farm near Willingdon and still spend much of my free time there helping my family with our grain and cattle operation, or spending quality time with my niece. That farm-life upbringing gave me a deep passion for nature, caring for animals, and jumping in to get the job done! For the past few years, I’ve been fortunate to teach at New Myrnam School, where I fell in love with project-based learning and teaching shop. I can't wait to bring that same dynamic energy to St. Mary's! In my practice, I firmly believe that building strong relationships and a safe, supportive environment is foundational to academic success. I am truly looking forward to connecting with our students, families, and community, and I can't wait to get involved with school sports and coaching as the year gets underway. See you all soon!"

"My name is Miguel Skuban, and I am very excited to join the St. Mary’s staff this year, where I will be teaching Math, Science, and Religion. I grew up on a farm outside of Westlock, and I enjoy reading, video games, building LEGO, and anything sports-related. I am a die-hard Oilers, Elks, and Giants fan, and I am also a two-time ball hockey champ! I have a deep love for Jesus and my Catholic faith, and am excited to share that within my classroom. Looking forward to the new school year!"

If you happen to find any school textbooks or library books over the summer, don't worry! We have a book drop slot located at the front entrance of the school. Simply place the books inside, and they will be processed and returned when staff are back in the building in August.

Congratulations to our Jr.Golf team on a job well done at the EIAA Golf Championships! Congratulations to Archie Tomlinson on tying for 2nd overall and winning BRONZE 🥉(after playbacks & just 1 shot off the lead) And, congrats to our mixed team for placing 4th and our boys team for placing top 10. It was an intense competition with over 250 athletes compete. We are so proud!
