The First Day of a New Journey 💙

We’re excited to welcome our new students joining us for the second semester of the 2026–2027 school year! 🎉

With flexible admissions throughout the year, there’s always a new beginning at TAIE — welcoming students from around the world whenever the time is right for them. 🌎

On their first day, students enjoy breakfast prepared by our team, attend orientation, put on their new uniforms, and meet their teachers and classmates.

At TAIE, we want students to prepare for their future while enjoying the friendships, experiences, and memories they make along the way.

TAIE’s Terry Fox Week: Carrying Courage Forward ❤️

The Terry Fox Run has become a meaningful long-standing tradition at TAIE, bringing our community together each year to honour Terry Fox’s legacy and support cancer research. 🍁

Over the past week, our students and staff joined a bake sale, raffle draw, jelly bean jar contest, and Terry Fox Run — with all funds raised going to the Terry Fox Foundation.

At TAIE, we believe some of the most meaningful lessons happen beyond the classroom — helping students build confidence, character, and leadership, while connecting with and giving back to their community.

As our Activities Coordinator, Jared, shared, “When our students walk out of the school, when they graduate, we want them to really carry that courage with them.” 💙

Our new school uniforms are officially here!

Our Student Council members were the first to step out in the new looks, from polo shirts and knit cardigans to varsity jackets. With students gathered in the halls, cheering, taking photos, and enjoying the moment together, it was a great display of school spirit at TAIE! 👏

But our new uniforms are about more than just a fresh new look. They’re a part of what makes us TAIE — our school spirit, our sense of belonging, and the memories we create together.

From rebranding our school team as TAIE Legends to joining a Toronto basketball league and introducing our new uniforms, TAIE is always moving forward. We’re excited to keep creating more opportunities for our students to try new things, challenge themselves, and grow along the way. ✨

And that’s really what we’re all about at TAIE — giving our students the space to learn, grow, build confidence, and become the best version of themselves. 💙

Celebrating the Moon Festival at TAIE 🏮

The Mid-Autumn Festival is just around the corner, and our TAIE community came together to celebrate! 🏮

From playing Ddakji, a traditional Korean paper game, to making colorful lanterns, our students enjoyed an afternoon filled with creativity, laughter, and cultural exchange.

With students from different backgrounds coming together, this celebration was a wonderful reminder that festivals are about more than traditions — they’re about sharing, connecting, and creating memories together.

And no matter where we are in the world, we’re always under the same moon. 🌕✨ Wishing our TAIE community and everyone celebrating a happy and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival! 🏮🌕

🎓 What happens when 33 universities come to TAIE?

From University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, McMaster University, Western University, and University of Ottawa to U.S. universities including Temple University, St. John’s University, and Niagara University, our students had the opportunity to explore different programs, ask questions, and connect with university representatives from Canada and the U.S. 🇨🇦🇺🇸

At TAIE, we believe education goes beyond the classroom. It’s about helping students explore, ask questions, discover their strengths, and prepare for what’s next.

From Psychology and Criminology to Economics, Arts, and beyond, our students came prepared with questions about programs, admissions, and their future paths.

And that’s exactly what we hope to encourage at TAIE — students who are curious, engaged, and confident enough to take the first step toward their future.

A Day of Meaningful University Connections at TAIE! 🎓✨

Earlier this week, we were proud to welcome representatives from 33 universities and colleges, including the University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, University of Ottawa, McMaster University, and Western University, along with Temple University, St. John’s University, and Niagara University from the U.S. 🇨🇦🇺🇸

Our students had the opportunity to connect directly with university representatives, ask questions, and learn more about admission requirements. One of our Grade 12 students, who is interested in Criminology and Psychology, shared how these conversations helped him better understand his options, explore programs related to his interests, and think about what could be a good fit for his future.

We also heard great feedback from our university representatives. Mr. Yamamoto from the University of Toronto noted that our students came with clear ideas about what they want to study and what they want to do in the future. Ms. Herteis from the University of Waterloo highlighted how specific their questions were, showing that students had done their research and knew what they were looking for.

We’re proud to see how well-prepared our students are and how confidently they are taking their next steps toward university. For more than 28 years, TAIE has supported international students with the guidance and opportunities they need to prepare for university and beyond.

🤖 TAIE × University of Toronto | NextGen AI Camp 2026

What happens when students get to learn AI directly from University of Toronto professors — and then pitch their own ideas back to them?

Over 10 days, 58 students from around the world explored AI in the classroom, visited Toronto’s innovation hubs, and put their learning into action.

The highlight of the camp came when students had just 48 hours to turn an idea into an AI solution — then present and defend their work in front of U of T professors. 🚀

It was a chance to take what they learned in the classroom and put it to the test in a real-world challenge — from researching a problem and developing a solution to presenting their ideas with confidence.
