SFU Neuromuscular Mechanics Lab: Senior-Aged control subjects needed!!
The Neuromuscular Mechanics Lab is collecting data as part of a Honour's project under Dr. James Wakeling's supervision and is currently looking for senior-aged control subjects. Since the study is age- and s*x- matched, they are specifically looking for individuals who are:
Male, age 71-81
Female, age 59-69
Male, age 54-69
Participants should have no known disabilities or illnesses, particularly peripheral neuropathy and conditions affecting balance and mobility.
The study will take approximately 1.5 hours and consist of filling out two short questionnaires, walking an outdoor course at SFU, and a rapid mobility assessment. Participants will receive $30.00 for volunteering their time.

For those 55 or over, living without a spouse or kids, one Facebook group of about 5,000 users provides a space for support and advice.
