Lynn Wong's journey with Baptist Housing at Inglewood Care Centre commenced threeyears ago, starting as an Administrative Assistant and progressing to the role of Resident Business Coordinator.
Reflecting back, her path to working in Long-Term Care (LTC) began 9 years ago following her husband's severe anoxic brain injury. Despite the initial prognosis of 0% meaningful recovery and the likelihood of LTC, they navigated through three different care facilities, forming connections with numerous medical teams, fellow residents, and families, experiences that now shape her daily life at Inglewood.
Interacting with the public, residents, families, and team across all departments provides Lynn with constant opportunities to share, learn, and evolve.
Beyond her professional life, Lynn's interests gravitate towards creativity, particularly in performing arts and costume design. She delved into photography and video editing to document her husband's journey, and more recently, she has begun exploring scenic photography in the Sea to Sky region with aspirations to venture into painting. Her ultimate goal is to compile a collection of stories capturing the blessings, joy, wonder, and humor that have enriched their lives.
Lynn also shares a heartfelt recommendation for the song "I'm Still Me" by Ranj Singh from Surrey, BC. The lyrics hold profound meaning, resonating with individuals in LTC and extending far beyond the acquired brain injury community that inspired them. 💙
