University Canada West UCW is a business and technology-oriented institution in downtown Vancouver.

Degree programs include Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication and Associate of Arts. UCW also offers two preparatory programs – MBA Foundation and the University Access Program. UCW is a dynamic and growing institution defined by its close connections to the business community and a commitment to outstanding student services. UCW opened its second campus at Vancouver House in October 2020 and currently has more than 4,000 students from more than 90 countries. UCW has also expanded its offerings to include several short courses and micro-credentials. UCW is recognized by, and operates under, the authority of the British Columbia Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training on the recommendation of the Degree Quality Assessment Board. The University’s programs are offered under the written consent of the Minister of Advanced Education having undergone a quality assessment process. The MBA and BCom programs have received ACBSP Global Business and NCMA accreditation.

Field Day brought students together for carnival games, karaoke, food and plenty of opportunities to connect. Organised by the MBA Games Spirit Team, the event also supported I-SPARC’s RISE program, with proceeds helping young athletes grow and thrive through sport.

UCW hosted the “Indigenous Knowledge Systems and World Religions” workshop as part of the 5th World Congress on Logic and Religion, bringing together diverse voices to explore Indigenous knowledge systems, spirituality, community and reconciliation.

For Veronica Tejeda Rodriguez, her MBA journey at UCW was about more than earning a degree. 🎓

Studying alongside people from different countries broadened her perspective, challenged her to step outside her comfort zone and opened professional opportunities in both Canada and Peru.

Now a Commercial Director at Franky and Ricky, a Peruvian textile and apparel manufacturer, Veronica continues to carry the confidence, connections and international perspective she gained at UCW into her career.

Orange Shirt Day at UCW was a time to learn, reflect and recognize the importance of truth and reconciliation.

Through the Indigenous Action Committee’s initiative, students and members of the UCW community engaged with Indigenous histories, reflected on the legacy of residential schools and considered meaningful actions they can take toward reconciliation.

We honour Survivors, remember the children who never returned home and recognize the importance of continuing to listen, learn and take action.

Connecting Learning, Leadership & Industry: CIM–UCW Professional Development & Networking Event 2026

UCW was pleased to host the CIM British Columbia & Yukon Chapter Professional Development & Networking Event, bringing together students, faculty, staff and professionals for a morning of learning, career development and meaningful connections.

The event featured insights from Saeed Sabeti, MBA, CPA, C.Mgr., who presented on financial literacy and its impact on career and life; John Fernandes, MPA, MBA, P.Mgr., C.Mgr., who led sessions on mentorship and CIM membership; and Michelle Gohlan, M.A., CPHR, SHRM-SCP, who explored a holistic approach to DEIB and preparing students for success.
