Chorus & Clouds classes focus on establishing a lifelong love and appreciation for music and art in a safe and encouraging space that will have everyone wanting to come back each week! Children will build coordination, self-confidence and language skills through featured music, songs, instrument use and art activities. Chorus & Clouds is thrilled to offer music and art classes in the Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood for the early years ages 0-5. Classes are categorized by age, however we welcome parents to bring children or siblings to whichever class best suits their needs.

Hey! Hi!👋🏽 Jessie here, it feels impossible to already be approaching October ~ but it’s true. Which means public registration opens October 1st 8AM for our magical Nov/Dec sessions. For those of you currently registered it’s pre-reg time. I apologize it’s last minute ~ but make sure to not wait long to complete your pre-reg(emailing incoming). I am reminded daily that I’m the most confident when I’m at Chorus~ children are so innately kind, and vulnerable and open. I’ve worked tirelessly to create a true sense of inclusion ~ which holistically speaking means every-single-person is welcome. Nothing to do with money. Come as you are. Be YOU. Most importantly let children be children. When a child sees an opening to be playful, where they can get physical even, play hard or just learn to tip toe their way into the beautiful nature of the studio ~ I remain in awe. This is what the world needs, and what I choose to co-create with you all. And nearly 14 years since I offered my first music classes in the city is Wild to think I’m still thriving~ that this little business has changed and aided so many lives. So wild that my dreams are true now. All because you believe. Keep believing in the power of the children’s generation ~ and I’ll be here along side you.

There aren’t many other places or fests’ we’d like to be at other than this one. McSpadden County Fair is oh so ‘East Van’ and friendly~ we’ve been coming year after year and even entered the races this year! All for FUN and the friendly vibes! ✨💕yes to welcoming and charming fests!!!!

At Chorus & Clouds, music finds its way into every single class held. It’s undoubtedly been what you seem to crave the most, because when music begins we get to see our children come alive when our voices combine and create melody~ It’s been the most wonderful thing for me to hold space for music making at such a tender age and season for you all. New semester begins tomorrow for our Monday sessions, I have a few spots left for select classes. Our space is inclusive to all abilities ~ fully accessible and barrier free. a veritable buffet of art materials for my pre-school preparation class to enjoy and get creative with. Our studio was bustling this week, I can’t tell you enough how grateful I am. Almost all 16 classes are full to the brim~ and not just full capacity wise, but energetically ~ so full of warmth and love and openness ~ children and adults alike, what a gift@to be together learning, growing, laughing and singing 🎵 See you next week and all these supplies provided by the most beautiful shop who I get to call friends Urban Source I’ve been shopping there and gabbing away in that space for 25 years!!! 😆 how very cool!

1. Let the child in you see the child in them~ and meet them where they are. It’s a beautiful thing to see them flying free as they grow isn’t it?✨ Hence our birds for the end of terms art making projects ;) love you all!

Long weekend~ here we go. I haven’t stopped in a long while, our little family needs a little break and time together ~ wishing you a beautiful and safe long weekend my sweeties. One last class today. Our “Little Folkies Party Class!” every single person waltzes through these doors on Fridays 3:30 and WANTS to BE musical. I dunno what it is, but it’s absolutely magical ~

Music Classes, Art Classes or the infant development class at Chorus all stem from the very same principles of care in early years development I lovingly studies over 15 years ago~ theoretical perspectives also hold true that each child is indeed a holder of knowledge, a beautiful young human who is capable in their own way. In this very moment time they are likely exactly where they are supposed to be, and they are also full of potential and confidence in the truest sense of the word. Our children show glimpses of unfolding beauty all the time. I choose to meet your children and YOU where you are. Which is what makes classes at Chorus not just a time ticker of a space. Not forcing anyone or anything. It’s just face-to-face connection. Not demanding them to sit still, never expecting outcomes in such short amounts of time. Things take time. This parenthood journey is full of good, and full of challenges ~ when we show our children that acceptance and that slowness and patience ~ it can sure pay off in the long run. 👋🏽 hi Jessie here. Just back from the hot hot heat in the Peg ~ played some shows and had the time of my life. Thank you to all the families that showed up and supported! It was a dream come true~ playing my songs for so many was a time I’ll never forget ~ also I’ve got a new song out. And it’s gorgeous and so meaningful ~ a song about colours but it’s about more than that. A song about striving to find the beauty in the world that surrounds us. Stop and smell the 🌹 ✨ *and check it out ~ I made it on my very first Editorial Playlist with featured on this beaut! So elated. If you love folk music - go listen, like and share.
