UBC Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science

This past Thursday, three of the 4th year BMLSc students presented their work at the BIG25 Research Day in the Life Sciences Institute. Through the Directed Studies research course (PATH 438) offered within the BMLSc program, these students had the opportunity to do their own research project under the supervision of a faculty member within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

The Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLSc) program available at UBC is a unique program that focuses on the various disciplines of laboratory medicine such as clinical chemistry, pathology, microbiology, histochemistry, and many more. Beginning in their third year of studies, students receive hands-on education in a small cohort setting.

In-person and online information sessions for prospective applicants will be held on November 7, 2024. Faculty members and current students will attend to provide more information and answer any questions.
