Meet Viviane!

For Viviane, pottery started as curiosity and slowly turned into a true love. After first getting her hands dirty with clay in Germany over five years ago, she found her creative home in Vancouver, where she joined her first pottery class three years ago.

Her work is rooted in functional ceramics, with a focus on colour, form, and pieces that bring joy to everyday rituals. She loves the process of experimenting, learning new techniques, and turning ideas into objects people can use and enjoy. As someone who always has another creative project in mind, pottery has become the perfect outlet for slowing down and making something by hand.

“This studio feels more like a group of friends than a shared workspace. Everyone is incredibly talented, generous with their knowledge, and endlessly inspiring. It’s one of those places that makes you excited to come back every week.”

She’s convinced there will never be enough hours in the day to make everything she dreams up.

Story time…
So, at the end of June, we had a pretty intense flood in the studio caused by a hot water tank bursting. Unfortunately, this caused a lot of damage to our kiln and we have been quietly repairing things behind the scenes since then.
This has come as a significant unexpected cost to the studio, so we decided to put on a little seconds sale!
All funds from the sale will be going directly into funding our kiln repairs.
Our loss is your gain! 😂🫠
So needless to say, swing on by pot spot to get some mega discounted ceramics. Pieces starting at 5$!
When: Sunday August 16th
Time: 11am-3pm

🌀 MEMBER MONDAY 🌀

Zahra noon studio took her first pottery class three years ago and hasn’t looked at a vase the same way again. Her work walks the line between functional and decorative ceramics, while remaining delicate and simple. The pottery studio is a place of respite for her, where she can turn off her (over)thinking brain and get messy.

“It’s been incredibly inspiring seeing the work of other Pot Spot members on the shelves. We all have such different styles and I can learn from each piece someone else creates. And don’t get me started on the cozy vibes!”

She’s currently working on throwing bigger (and thinking less).
