🌀 MEMBER MONDAY 🌀

Zahra noon studio took her first pottery class three years ago and hasn’t looked at a vase the same way again. Her work walks the line between functional and decorative ceramics, while remaining delicate and simple. The pottery studio is a place of respite for her, where she can turn off her (over)thinking brain and get messy.

“It’s been incredibly inspiring seeing the work of other Pot Spot members on the shelves. We all have such different styles and I can learn from each piece someone else creates. And don’t get me started on the cozy vibes!”

She’s currently working on throwing bigger (and thinking less).

PS. Check out Zahra’s beautiful ceramics noon studio 💙 we love having her as a part of our community!

🌟 MEMBER MONDAY 🌟
Bringing back Member Monday to highlight our wonderful members at Pot Spot.
Starting off with Brie, who sadly is leaving us this month for her new adventure in medical school. Brie Dungate

Brie initially dove into pottery as a way to keep sane while in medical school. Pottery has been an exercise in letting go for her, both in terms of working through issues in her life on the wheel and releasing expectations regarding a piece’s final form. She still gets excited when she finally centers her little lump of clay, even more so when she throws bigger pieces.

“Pot spot has become a perfect place for me to get my hands dirty! I love seeing friendly faces each time I come to the studio. Syd and Jon have put in so much work to create a beautiful space and it’s reflected by the wonderful community of people that have come to the studio. It’s an extra bonus that things get fired so quickly.”

Ps. We wish you all the best Brie! ❤️

From 5 years ago when we first got the keys to 721 gore, to today. ❤️
It’s been quite an adventure, with many many lessons learned along the way!
We started off with bare walls, and built up the space over different iterations of pot spot. We’ve had so many incredible events, workshops, culture crawls, pot lucks, and late night throwing sessions. We’ve met wonderful people, members and friends.
We’ve created a creative space that feels like home for us.
And we’re still going strong! ⭐️

Monday May 25th we’ll be posting our summer schedule.
Chill, fun vibes and a great intimate learning environment (with a/c) for the warm summer months. 🌞
Big changes are happening when September hits, so stay tuned!

PS. What are you learning this summer?
