Qawsain Knowledge House

Grades 3 and 4 show off their story-telling while exploring Indigenous stories and culture! Students worked in groups to research and present their findings 👏👏👏

Masha’Allah we are celebrating our girls’ basketball team for winning FIRST PLACE 🥇 in the first BC Unity Cup! Qawsain Knowledge House went head to head against other Muslim schools in BC and came out on top!

Our girls have worked hard since February preparing for these matches both in PE and by putting in lots of extra hours at after school practices. In the end it all paid off as they took home the gold!!!

Masha’Allah, this term our grade 3 and 4 students worked hard to learn all about ecosystems and make their very own shoebox diorama! Students learned about producers and consumers, adaptations, and the way all species rely on each other in an environment. Well done! 👏👏👏

MashaAllah, last week QKH students experimented with different materials to model bird beaks and discover which adaptations help different birds eat different foods! They got a first-hand feel for how Allah SWT has created variety in creation for different purposes while working through the scientific process of making and testing hypotheses!

Stuffed dates, candle making, ju-jitsu and more! Our students have been staying busy and having blast this Ramadan with our Kids’ and Youth Programs! Join us this Saturday for our final weekend in our Ramadan Series ✨

Alhamdulilah, Museum Night: Battle of Badr was a great success! On the 17th Night of Ramadan (the same day the Battle of Badr actually took place!), Qawsain students presented their hard work and projects all about the Badr! From acting and presenting to written reflections and math, our students have been hard at work the last few weeks preparing. A big thank you to everyone who came and toured our “museum” - see you next time!

Our first Ramadan Kids’ Night of the month was a huge success! Kids decorated a “Dua Box” and wrote some special prayers to keep inside! We can’t wait for the rest of our events.
